Advanced Leader (AL) Award

There are 2 levels within the Advanced Leader program - Bronze and Silver.

You can become an Advanced Leader-Bronze (ALB) by achieving the following:

• Complete your Competent Communicator (CC or CTM) level

• Serve 6 months as a Club Officer (Jan-June or July-December)

• Be trained by the District as a Club officer.

• Participate in the creation of the annual Club Success Plan, and

• Complete 2 speeches from the Successful Club series or the Leadership Excellence series.

Information:  Prior to July 1, 2006, the Advanced Leader-Bronze award was known as the Competent Leader Award.  In July 2006 a brand new Competent Leader manual was introduced so the Competent Leader award now has new meanings.

The next step would be an Advanced Leader-Silver (ALS), (formerly known simply as an Advanced Leader):

• Completed your Advanced Leader-Bronze award

• Served as a district officer for a year (July 1-June 30)

• Completed the High Performance Leadership program

• Participate in the creation of the annual Club Success Plan, and

• Served successfully as a Club Sponsor or Club Mentor, or a Club Coach or specialist

Your Club can benefit from you receiving your Competent or Advanced Leader awards too - it helps meet Goals 5 or 6 of the Distinguished Club Program!  You are part of the Team!
