Toastmasters often present a Toast
near the beginning of the meeting to someone or something. The
theme of the meeting normally dictates the nature of the toast.
Prior to the meeting:
-
Confirm with the Toastmaster the theme
of the meeting
- Prepare a
brief toast, usually a maximum of 2 minutes, and practice it
During the meeting:
-
When introduced, stand up by/behind
your chair
- Deliver the
toast,
-
In closing, ask everyone to stand and
raise their (imaginary, if such is the case) glass..
