Responsibilities: Club
financial policies, procedures and controls. Receives and
disburses all Club funds. Pay to Toastmaster International all
dues. Keeps an accurate account of all transactions. Makes a
financial report quarterly and upon request. Develops and
recommends a budget. Collects applications and dues.
At the Club meeting:
- Receive completed new member
applications and dues
- Announce when dues are due and
explain dues structure
- Followup on outstanding dues
- Greet members and guests
Outside the meeting:
- Prepare an annual budget to be
approved by the Executive Committee and membership within 1 month of
taking office
- Provide the bank with a new
signature card, reflecting the new Club officers having signing
authority.
- Prepare and send dues statements
by August 15 (and February 15th, if dues are collected semi-annually;
most Clubs collect annual dues only)
- Collect and send dues
semi-annually to Toastmasters International by October 1st and April
1st, and work with the Vice-President to contact members who have not
paid dues
- Apply online new member
applications and dues within 48 hours of receipt.
- Pay bills as due
- Keep records of all financial
transactions
- Present regular verbal and
written financial reports
- Submit Club accounts for audit
- Attend Club Executive Committee
meetings
- Attend semi-annual
District-sponsored Club Officer training
- Arrange for a replacement, if
unable to attend a meeting
- Prepare successor for office.
