Vice-President, Public Relations

Responsibilities:  Develops and directs a publicity program to promote the Club, membership programs and events, internal and external public relations for the Club.  Prepares and distributes news releases.  Develops Club newsletter and/or webpage.

At the Club meeting:

  • Greet members and guests warmly
  • Announce upcoming events and programs
  • Ask for contributions to the newsletter

Outside the meeting:

  • Promote the Club to the local media
  • Produce a Club newsletter and/or website
  • Promote membership programs
  • Ensure adequate signage for Club meetings, including posters
  • Attend Club Executive Committee meetings
  • Attend other Toastmasters events
  • Attend semi-annual District-sponsored Club Officer training
  • Arrange for a replacement
  • Prepare successor for office.
